Who we are

Xantha Group Pty Ltd (ABN 58 696 771 865) delivers de-escalation and communication training to Australian health and aged care services. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can reach us at info@xantha.com.au about anything in this policy.

What we collect, and when

We only collect personal information when you give it to us, or when your browser sends it automatically.

When you use the enquiry form

The form on our contact page asks for your name, work email address and organisation, which are required, plus your role, phone number and message, which are optional. We also record the topic you selected and the page you came from, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.

When you simply browse the site

Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We also run the analytics described below.

We do not ask for, and do not want, clinical or patient information through this website. Please do not include details about identifiable patients or residents in an enquiry.

How we use it

We use enquiry details to reply to you, to scope and quote a program, and to keep a record of our conversation in our customer relationship system. If you become a client we use your contact details to organise and deliver the training. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing list from a website enquiry alone.

Analytics and advertising

Website analytics

We use a privacy-preserving analytics service to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track people across other websites.

Advertising measurement

We use a professional social network's advertising tag to measure our advertising on that network and to show ads to people who have visited this site. It sets cookies and sends data to that platform, which handles the information under its own privacy policy. You can opt out through the advertising preferences in your account on that network, through your browser's cookie controls, or with any "Do Not Track" or ad-blocking tools you use. Who else handles your information

We use a small number of established service providers to run this site and our business. Several store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe.

• Hosting and analytics — serving this site, protecting it from abuse, and counting page views.
• Customer relationship management — where enquiries and client records are stored.
• Transactional email — sends us the notification when you submit the form.
• Productivity and email tools — our own email and documents, so correspondence with us is stored there.
• Advertising platform — advertising measurement, as described above.

Our learning platform at learn.xantha.com.au runs on a third-party course-hosting service, with its own account details and privacy terms. This policy covers xantha.com.au.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client records for as long as we have a working relationship with you or your organisation, and afterwards only for as long as we need them for our business and record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete your details and we are not required to keep them, we will.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

Email info@xantha.com.au to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when what we collect or the services we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
